Bespoke midwifery consultation

Do you have any specific concerns or fears around pregnancy and birth that you would like to speak to a midwife about? Is there an aspect of your care that you feel uneasy about or just want to discuss in depth? Are you nervous about an upcoming appointment and want more information?

Has something unexpected come up in your pregnancy requiring you to make a quick decision, provoking stress or anxiety, and causing you to question yourself?

You deserve individualised care. With my knowledge & experience in the system, I can help you communiate with your care providers to ensure you get this.

  • Feeling more connected to your own wants, needs, and intuition.

I am committed to not just being another voice in your head, adding confusion or uncertainty.

You will not come away with another opinion, another philosophy, or another "hat in the ring" about what your birth should look like.

There will not be a sense of what you "should" or "shouldn't" do. Rather, you will leave with an understanding of what you actually want, with a more clear understanding of your options.

    • Every session is bespoke to you, and can be an individual session or you may want to include your partner, but can include:

    • Time to be actively listened to

    • Guided reflection that can release long held beliefs that could be subconsciously blocking you.

    • How to get the most out of your care within the system.

    • Support around Decision Making, whether it is to accept or decline routine care, and understanding how routine care can impact a straightforward pregnancy

    • Free birth support, questions answered, discussions had which feel taboo in free birth communities (like what do we do if _____ happens?"

    • Birth Planning within the system when you are considered "high risk"

    • How to effectively communicate to your care providers about your intentions to free birth and maintain a positive relationship with them in order to avoid stress around this issue.

    • Navigating curve balls such as reccomendations for induction of labour, extra scans, screening.

Bespoke birth preparation

Have you been considering a hypnobirthing course, or another popular birth preparation course because others have recommended it?

Are you looking for birth preparation that takes your own individual history, experiences, and story into account and does not just roll out information or a particular method or assumptions about what is possible or not possible for you?

Do you just wish you actually had more time with your midwife to ask questions rather than overloading yourself with information that "covers everything"?

I offer bespoke, individualised birth preparation that draws from various methodologies, but is catered to you as an individual.

  • It really is possible to look forward to your birth feeling grounded, in touch with your body’s wisdom, and ready for what will be a transforming experience.

You will come away feeling what Birth "Could be" rather than overwhelmed with what birth "should be".

  • Every session is bespoke to you.

Understanding the physiology of birth is where we will begin but where we go from there is entirely based on you and what you want to learn about, or explore.

We can explore birth in every possible setting and situation, as well as explore your own story and how it may impact your decisions and your experience.

As a midwife currently working in the system, I can share wisdom and insights about what it is actually like giving birth in the current climate, rather than relying on stories in the media or trying to make sense of all the conflicting experiences being talked about online.

  • £222 for 3 × 60-minute sessions with voice note support in between sessions.

    Additional sessions available if needed.

  • You will come away feeling seen, listened to, and understood.
If you have questions or want to discuss an aspect of your pregnancy or care you may come away with more understanding and knowledge that will serve you in the coming days or weeks.
